How to convert JPG to PNG

What converting to PNG does
The PNG stores the JPG’s pixels exactly, so nothing gets worse. It can’t make the image sharper, and the file gets larger.
Transparent backgrounds
Converting doesn’t remove a background. A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG keeps the same background.
About the formats
JPG (JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. Every phone, browser, email client and upload form accepts it.
PNG is a lossless image format with transparency. It is ideal for screenshots, logos and graphics, but photos saved as PNG are much larger than JPG.
