How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. 1

Drop your HEIC photos into the box, or tap Choose files.

  2. 2

Pick a quality if you like. Balanced looks the same at a smaller size.

  3. 3

Download each JPG, or all of them as one ZIP.

What happens to the photo’s details

By default Tabmorph keeps the date the photo was taken and the camera model, turns the photo upright, and removes the GPS location so the photo doesn’t reveal where it was taken. In Settings you can keep the location too, or remove everything.

Make your iPhone take JPG photos instead

Open Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG. Photos you already took stay HEIC, so convert those here.

Opening HEIC files on Windows

Windows 10 and 11 only show HEIC photos after you install two Microsoft Store add-ons: HEIF Image Extensions and HEVC Video Extensions (a paid one). Converting the photos to JPG means they open everywhere without installing anything.

About the formats

HEIC

HEIC is the photo format iPhones and iPads save by default. It keeps quality high at small sizes, but many Windows apps, websites and upload forms still can’t open it.

JPG

JPG (JPEG) is the most widely supported photo format. Every phone, browser, email client and upload form accepts it.
